The New CatchLog v.8 is easier to use than ever before

Many requests from fisherman, companies and fishing authorities have been analysed and put in our new version.

Our CatchLog Team has worked endless hours over the last few months to come up with the STATE OF THE ART software management program for the commercial fishing industry.

Many functions have improved and are easier to manage such as Crew Shares, Unloads, Periodic Deductions, Catch Entries, Trips and Electronic Data Transfers.

There are many other new and fantastic features. Things like correcting unload figures, adding and changing payments to crew (crew share) and managing periodic deductions have been made far more user friendly than ever!

Personalize your map, so that it will show the Catch area you like. CatchLog v.8 now has added memory functions to ensure that the chart locations you like is saved in the memory.

Catch Management

Entering catches into the new version is easier and more efficient. Showing the chart function to enter catches has made this a very easy task.

For first time Users, we created easy to understand Setup Wizards. These wizards will guide you through the program regardless what type of fishery or where in the world you are.

Users who like to use our program for a management tool, without using the electronic logbook function can now create many different reports with a choice of 7 different formats. Invoices can be created with a click of a button. Reports can be stored or send by email.

Certified by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority

The Simplex Logbook version CatchLog v8 has been certified for electronic submission of logbooks for EPRAWN, ETRAWL and ELINE.

Our Electronic Logbook Software Systems (ELSS) has been successfully passed by the UK Fisheries Authorities. This approval process has run on their behalf by the NCC Group. This means that CatchLog has been approved by the logbook system in the UK and is now serving the Fishing Industry in Great Britain. We are very proud of having achieved this after many months of hard work, to build a newer version of CatchLog to suite the United Kingdom's Fishing Regulators and Industry.

Catch Management

Entering catches into the new version is made 100% easier and more efficient. Showing the chart function by entering catches has made this a very easy task.

Logbook data can now be send direct into the fisheries management’s data loader. If there is any data missing in the report CatchLog will prompt you and direct you to the missing items.

Analyzing Historic Catches

CatchLog’s software engineers have made many improvements in this function. Select the species, moon phase (e.g. 2 days after the full moon) and up comes the selected species on a beautiful displayed colour chart. There are many different varieties in which these filter can be used and utilised.

Landings

After many requests from fishermen we made landings and partial landings very simple. Also landings can be modified after weighing the product to update records for personal use.

Help Movies

No more large ‘User Guides’ booklets with difficult to understand help menus. We made Help Movies. Each page has it’s own small help movie to show the User how to manage the tasks. We had this function before but our latest movies are better and clearer to understand.
